My Background

Firstly, let me introduce myself. My name is Kate, I'm in my 40s, and I'm a Mum to two teenage girls. I’m a fully qualified Early Years Professional and newly qualified High School Teacher who, having worked in many educational establishments, including mainstream schools and nurseries, and both primary and high school settings for children and young people with social, emotional, and behavioral needs, has a wealth of experience caring for and interacting with babies, children, and young people.

I’m qualified to degree level in Early Learning and Childcare, and in recent years this has supported me to begin working within the higher education and private training sector, supporting learners across Scotland to gain qualifications in Childcare.
